Caroline Ledeboer teaches English linguistics and writing, and advises English and TESOL majors in the Department of Languages and Literatures at the University of Northern Iowa. Originally from the Netherlands, she holds an M.F.A. in Nonfiction Writing and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Iowa, and has taught ESL and writing for the past 21 years. Her interests include the writing of narrative nonfiction, as well as its role in advising, and writing pedagogy. Her essays and prose poetry have been published on and in Sentence, among others. She is a singer a songwriter besides, and has published several CDs with the duo Eacret and Ledeboer. She lives in Cedar Falls with her daughter Willa (who is a college student) and a dog named Coco. She has a son Carson in grad school in New York.
