The August Wilson Festival, celebrating the writer of the play Fences, will take place on Friday, March 31st and Saturday, April 1st. Lou Bellamy, founder of the Penumbra Theatre in Saint Paul, Minnesota, will be in attendance. This event is sponsored by the UNI Diversity Council, the College of Humanities, Arts, and Sciences, and the Department of Languages and Literatures. The schedule for the two-day event is below.

1 PM - A discussion of August Wilson with Lou Bellamy
7 PM - A community collaboration: a reading of The Piano Lesson (Admission is free, but limited. Doors open at 6:30 PM).
April 1: Jubilee UMC Resource Center, 1621 East Fourth Street, Waterloo
10:30 AM - A young actors workshop with Lou Bellamy
