The Final Thursday Reading Series is back in 2018 with another great slate of regional featured authors and, as always, an open mic where you can share your own creative writing. All events start at 7 p.m. at the Hearst Center for the Arts.

Nieson is the author of the memoir, Schoolhouse: Lessons on Love & Landscape (Ice Cube Press). He serves on the MFA faculty at Chatham University.
Open mic signup at 7:00. Bring your best five minutes of poetry, fiction or creative nonfiction to share (singer/songwriters are also welcome). The open mic starts at 7:15 and the featured author takes the stage at 8:00. A Q&A will follow each reading. Books by regional writers will be available for purchase. The Final Thursday Reading Series is a collaboration of Final Thursday Press, the Hearst Center for the Arts, and the University of Northern Iowa College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences.
